2013 World Consumer Rights Day Report
Jul 2, 2018

Following a successful World Consumer Rights Day symposium at the Meikles Hotel, which drew participants from utilities providers, policymakers, captains of industry from the financial sector, regulatory sectors, sponsors and consumers, the Consumer Council of Zimbabwe held a commemorative march on the 27th of March 2013.

The march, which comprised mainly of women, who are members of the CCZ Consumer Action Clubs and CCZ workers began at Town House led by drum majorettes from Queen Elizabeth School and Churchill High School pipe band and a police escort, and meandered through the Central Business District to Africa Unity Square where participants congregated.

Participants were carrying placards, incisive and glaring messages showing major areas of consumer concerns which needed urgent address.
